First, you will strive to get it.
Then, you will strive to keep it.
Once lost, you will strive to reclaim it.
This is the wheel of striving.
Its grip is tight, but it is you that must let go.
— Wu Hsin (Roy Melvyn)
Although, there is no you to do the letting go, so it’s more that a letting go can happen. It’s not up to you if/when striving stops.
Then what can you do?
Nothing.
And you can notice that always, there is Awareness. Awareness of striving and Awareness of not striving. Awareness of asking questions and Awareness of thinking about this.
What is always already Aware?
Recognize and know yourself as That, and the problem of striving goes up in smoke.
Curiosity, noticing, questions.
But not
Beliefs, assumptions, explanations.
Wisdom means nothing to me.
